Third: Regulations for the Entry of Gulf Cash Transport Vehicles into Saudi Arabia

  1. Gulf vehicles transporting foreign currency into the Kingdom must comply with the technical specifications for the armoring of cash transport vehicles as outlined in the executive regulations issued by Ministerial Decision No. (4814) dated 1433/10/9H. These specifications pertain to the regulations for transporting cash, precious metals, and valuable documents, issued under Royal Decree No. (81/M) dated 1428/10/18H.
  2. Entities importing Saudi and foreign currencies (banks/exchange houses) are required to deploy an armed security escort vehicle to accompany the Gulf vehicle transporting foreign currency. The security vehicle must belong to an entity licensed to operate in the transport of cash, precious metals, and valuable documents, and should be stationed outside the customs area awaiting the foreign currency transport vehicles for escort.
