The framework “Fundamental Requirements” applies to entities intending to qualify for Saudi Central Bank Regulatory Sandbox environment and/or entities seeking license to operate in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The “Fundamental Requirements” serves as a catalyst to enable entities to comply with minimum Saudi Central Bank’s cyber resilience licensing requirements. The “Fundamental Requirements” should not be treated as a replacement of Saudi Central Bank’s Cyber Security and Business Continuity Management regulatory frameworks where the entities are required to comply with other relevant Saudi Central Bank regulatory requirements post licensing decision. Additionally, this framework should also be read in conjunction with the requirements mandated in Saudi Central Bank’s Regulatory Sandbox Framework.
