Referring to Circular No. 27027/Akh dated 19/12/1424 H regarding the distribution of cash denominations in local banks’ ATMs, and Circular No. 30902/227 dated 26/08/1440 H regarding cash replenishment requirements for ATMs, and based on SAMA’s keenness to raise the efficiency and quality of cash in circulation, and to meet the needs of ATM users with different cash denominations, SAMA stresses to all operating banks the need to pay attention to the replenishment and safety of cash in the bank’s ATMs and to adhere to the following:
| First: | ATM boxes will be replenished with the sixth edition denominations only starting from 1/1/2022. | |
| Second: | The sixth edition (200) riyal denomination will be inserted in all internal ATMs in branches and transfer centers, and the bank has the mechanism for inserting it in external devices, according to the nature of the site and the needs of customers, before 2/28/2022. |
SAMA emphasizes the importance of adhering to the above, and providing the Cash Supervision Department with the bank's plan to insert the (200) riyal denomination in ATMs via e-mail, within two weeks from its date.
