Referring to the powers granted to the Central Bank under relevant regulations, rules, and instructions. And referring to the decision of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises No. (2-1-1438) dated 14/03/1438 AH regarding the approval of the definition of small and medium enterprises operating in the Kingdom. The following has been decided:
First: The definition of small and medium enterprises is as follows:
Type of Enterprise | Revenue (Million Saudi Riyals) | Number of Employees (Full-time)* |
Micro | From 0 to 3 | From 1 to 5 |
Small | Greater than 3 to 40 | From 6 to 49 |
Medium | Greater than 40 to 200 | From 50 to 249 |
Large | Exceeds any of the above criteria |
* The revenue criterion is used for classifying the type of enterprise. In cases where revenue data is unavailable (new enterprise), the full-time employee count serves as the criterion for classification.
Second: This will be effective from the date of issuance.
