In this Law, the following words and phrases shall have the meanings assigned thereto, unless the context requires otherwise:

1.  Cash: All currencies traded officially in the Kingdom; whether banknotes or coins.
2. Precious metal: All valuable natural and synthetic metals and stones, which may be converted into cash. 
3. Negotiable instrument: All instruments of monetary value such as monetary checks in the currency of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and other currencies of all denominations, stocks, bonds, sukuk, and other securities. 
4. Activity: Transport of cash, precious metals, and negotiable instruments.
