Based on the Real Estate Finance Law issued by Royal Decree No. M/50 dated 13/8/1434H, and its executive regulations issued by the Minister of Finance Decision No. 1229 dated 10/4/1434H, the Financial Leasing Law issued by Royal Decree No. M/48 dated 13/8/1434H, and its executive regulations issued by the Central Bank Governor Decision No. 1/M dated 14/4/1434H, and the Financing Companies Control Law issued by Royal Decree No. M/51 dated 13/8/1433H, and its executive regulations issued by the Governor of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency Decision No. 2/M dated 14/4/1434H, and as stipulated in Article 99 of the Executive Regulation of the Financing Companies Control Law which states that "Companies and institutions operating in financing activities in the Kingdom before the system comes into effect are required to provide the institution within the first nine months of the grace period specified in Article 36 of the system with a plan to regularize their situation according to the provisions of the system or a plan to exit the market."
All companies and institutions operating in financing activities in the Kingdom before the system comes into effect must apply to the Central Bank for a license to conduct financing activities in accordance with the provisions of the system by the end of the working day on Wednesday 14/10/1434H, or cease financing activities entirely and provide the Central Bank with a market exit plan by Wednesday 14/10/1434H.
